Montec Electric is a locally owned and operated family business led by Matt Simonson and Jeff Strand. With nearly two decades of combined experience in the electrical industry, Matt and Jeff operate with a clear vision: to provide homeowners and businesses in the Flathead Valley with reliable, high-quality electrical services tailored to their unique needs.
Matt Simonson Owner/Founder
Matt’s journey as an electrician began in 2015, and his dedication to the craft has been evident ever since. A long-time resident of the Flathead Valley, Matt takes pride in serving the local community with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
In his free time, Matt enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and exploring the mountains. Alaska is one of his favorite vacation spots-second only to his home state of Montana.
Jeff Strand Owner/Partner
Jeff became a partner in the company in February 2024 and has been an electrician since 2015. With a strong commitment to precision, Jeff specializes in project management, crafting detailed electrical schematics, and ensuring flawless execution on every job.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their four children (with a fifth on the way!). He loves camping with his family, embarking on backpacking and hiking adventures, and teaching his kids the skills of hunting and fishing.
